If you’re looking for a new shooter for the Xbox 360, you should be downloading and installing Monday Night Combat by Uber Entertainment. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
Since downloading and playing this game for a week now, I have to say it’s cured the virus that is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

There’s a lot of crap out there on the Internets. So having a firewall is a must if you’re running a virtual or dedicated server. This is a quick guide on how to install APF on your linux server.
First, download the latest and greatest version of APF from R-FX Networks:

cd /tmp
wget http://www.rfxn.com/downloads/apf-current.tar.gz
tar -zxf apf-current.tar.gz
cd apf-0.*
./install.sh
*Notice: apply the latest version number here.
This should automatically install APF on your server. Now we have to edit the configuration file.
nano -w /etc/apf/conf.apf
Scroll down to the “Inbound (Ingress) TCP/UDP Ports” and “Outbound (Egress) TCP/UDP Port” section. Please find the correct configuration for your control panel.

Save the file and start APF.
apf -s
If everything still works then edit the config file and turn DEVEL_MODE OFF. Make absolutely sure you can start a new SSH session before changing DEVEL_MODE OFF.
***AGAIN, please make sure you are able to start a new SSH session. This is your last warning!!!

Now, restart APF and everything should be working!!!

Also, if you are getting an error on startup or restart similar to this:
unable to load iptables module (ip_tables), aborting. apf
try changing SET_MONOKERN=”0″ to “1″ – although it is not recommended, this allows for APF to run if this module is not directly compiled into the kernel.
I just purchased a new Linksys WRT54GL router because of my performance from my older router. And I have to say that I have significantly noticed a change in DL and UL speeds. Significantly, a 194% increase in DL speeds. Here are my recent results from speedtest.net:

If some of you have been paying attention to my recent tweets, you’ve probably noticed my short URLs are different from the standard “bit.ly” or “tinyurl.com” links. I’ve recently programmed a URL shortener for my own personal use and the internet community. My first thoughts when programming this site were to incorporate it with my other websites I’ve been developing and make it the “official” URL shortener. So, right now 1337url.com is currently in the “Alpha/Beta” phase, with a lot more in store for the User.

I’ve been back and forth on this subject since the start of this website. My intentions when starting out was to just life cast my day to day with some insight on web development, video juegos, and funny youtube videos. But as the site grows, I’ve consider the idea of adding some sense to my site…no pun intended.
So, I’ve come to a decision to keep this site pure from advertising and spammy looking ads for sake of the internets. Too many sites that start receiving some sort of traffic take a turn for the worse and essentially sell out their patrons. This site’s sole purpose is to relate with some of you, give advice to others, and entertain all. It’s official, no Google AdSense…no Yahoo! PN…no advertising of anything that I don’t have control over. Purity in its rarest form.
This weekend, Catherine and I plan on going camping to the Guadalupe River State Park, so I will be posting more photos this upcoming week. Thanks to all that have been coming to the site on a regular basis; feel free to comment on some of these posts, I won’t yell ‘atcha
So I’ve been watching Battlestar Galactica for about a week now, and I have to say that I am quite impressed. Thanks to Netflix, I’ve been receiving two discs at a time, the perfect time span to really enjoy a TV show on DVD. With 4 episodes on one discs, I’ve viewed all but one episodes of season one.
I have to admit I was hooked when I started with The Miniseries. The universe that is Battlestar Galactica seems as though it would actually exist in our near future. I am addicted to the realistic camera angles, color shading of certain environments, and the human imperfections of each character. Commander Adama’s words of wisdom and “slams”, President Roslin’s quick, sharp responses to hard situations, and Dr. Baltar’s sleezy demeanors really capture my involvement in the storyline.
I will be waiting for disc five of season one and the start of season two this week.
Until then, watch out for those Cylons and their 12 models…
Here’s another reason to stop playing and to start boycotting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the unlimited care package, sentry gun, emergency air drop glitch. Negative XP and now this, how fun can this be when there’s nothing but air support in the air and you’re the victim: AC130s, Harriers, Helicopters, and Chopper Gunners. This has been the last straw. Last night, I experienced one of these lobbies and I had to stop playing; I realized that this game needs some serious work.
Infinity Ward needs to refund the millions they’ve made on this game and give it back to those who actually are trying to play this game legitimately. @fourzerotwo, your game is broken and I’m not going to play it anymore, if anything I’ll be playing Borderlands…
