Life of a Web Programmer

If you’ve been living under a rock the past week or so, NBC has decided to push Jay Leno’s show, the aptly named The Jay Leno Show, to the 11:35PM time slot which has been The Tonight Show‘s time slot for 60 years. This has, as you would expect, caused some ill-fainted feelings towards NBC by most of the current host’s fans, Conan O’brien.

It has been rumored that Conan O’brien will have talks with FOX to help start the broadcasting network first late night talk show. In my opinion, Conan would be a great fit with the likes of FOX, considering Conan was a writer for The Simpsons. FOX has been known to breed great comedy, and this would allow Conan to really push the limits he has done so well with The Late Show with Conan O’brien and The Tonight Show.

Catherine does some damage on some Geometry Wars last night with my new capture card. Been playing around with my video and audio settings and finally got it working with my Macbook. Had some issues though trying to stream live on ustream.tv last night, had some lag issues on the MW2 server, but other than that we had some fun. So take a look…I wish I recorded her play by play analysis while she was pwning some geometric shapes

I still have my Dad’s Atari 2600 system from back in the day. I remember playing Breakout, Combat, and Boxing (most Atari games were one word names) with Dad in the living room. To this day it runs like a well, oiled machine…always a good time when you can play old school games with friends and family…the memories!!!

While sitting around at the AUS terminal, waiting to board my flight to see Catherine, I remembered a great YouTube video I was introduced to while at work this summer. If you don’t know what Ventrilo harassment is, it’s basically when someone enters a voice chatroom and plays a soundboard that can be really hilarious to those watching it unfold, but painfully annoying to those in the chatroom.

The title of this post has become a staple of my random outburst while playing CoDMW2, along with the famous saying by Congresswoman, Corrine Brown, “Go gata…” Below is the Ventrilo harassment video montage that has capture the hearts and souls of those fortune to hear its prophetic message…enjoy!

A young man became an unfortunate victim of larceny. His Xbox 360 had been stolen by a careless robber who fortunately didn’t know that the Internet is a series of tubes. Using his smarts and intellect, he tracked his Gamertag via the Xbox website and figured out the IP address in which his Xbox 360 had been connected to Xbox Live.

This reminds me of the time my iPod was stolen, and I did everything I could to track the perp who was benefiting from a 60GB iPod. Needless to say, I didn’t find my iPod, and I learned to lock my bedroom door when throwing house parties.
